SOAS Establishes Centre for Sustainable Finance

SOAS University of London has set up a Centre for Sustainable Finance (CSF). The CSF functions as a research hub, bringing together researchers from different parts of SOAS working on issues of sustainable finance, including green financial governance; the analysis of climate risk for public and corporate finance; the financing of climate mitigation and adaptation; financing the SDGs; renewable energy and infrastructure investments; and the role of public financial institutions. These topics are necessarily cross-cutting and global in nature but much of the Centre’s focus will be on the regions SOAS specialises in: Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East. Importantly, the CSF is academic host to SUFINDA and the Climate and Sustainable Finance Data Initiative.
