SUFINDA Directors to Teach Sustainable Finance Summer School

Felicia Jackson and Harald Heubaum will be teaching a sustainable finance and climate change summer course at SOAS University of London from 22 July - 9 August 2019. The course will enable participants to understand and apply key concepts in climate and sustainable finance, the role of climate and other environmental risks in creating financial risks in banking and capital markets, and the role of financial actors in driving a global low-carbon transition. It covers long-term sustainability risk assessments; the role of central banks and financial supervisory authorities; environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria; climate accounting principles and climate risk disclosure; green bond markets and climate-smart infrastructure investment; and the global governance system for climate and sustainable finance. Case studies and examples will be drawn from both the Global North and South and there will be excursions to regulators, financial institutions and NGOs in the City of London. For more information on the course and how to apply, please see here.
